Tempurpedic Mattress Reviews - Our Personal Fight For Peaceful Sleep

The story begins around 4 years ago when my wife ended up on a Chiropractors bed with severe back pain. She'd had an injury to here sacroiliac joint some years before, and was getting out of bed every morning with this dull, but depressing ache. something needed to be done, but we had recently forked out around $600 on a brand new mattress, with a high number of springs per square ft, so we were a little astonished when the massage guy suggested we should invest in a memory foam mattress instead.

He recommended the Tempurpedic mattresses, as the company were the first to bring memory foam mattresses onto the market. NASA had originally designed this high density foam for use in space craft. We looked at a number of Tempurpedic reviews online and discovered that Tempurpedic beds were really a bed to consider, even though the price was somewhat higher than some of the competing memory foam mattress brands.

We already had a nice adjustable bed base, so were really looking for one of the Tempurpedic mattresses that could sit on top of our existing base. We visited a large retail outlet near our home, and found a number of Tempurpedic models, with free mattress covers included. I read about the tempur material, a high quality visco elastic foam mattress product and when we lay down to try it out, the feeling was incredible.

The Tempur mattress is a really good quality memory foam mattress, which is not as bouncy as your traditional mattresses, but offers a really nice feeling of support along your whole body. I had personally suffered from some pressure point pain over the years, partly because I am a side sleeper, and I instantly felt that this mattress could offer me something special. We both felt that the Tempur mattress would be supportive for us both AND stop us rolling into the middle of the bed.

We Chose The Tempurpedic Cloud

Well, we went ahead and bought one after heading home and looking at a number of Tempurpedic cloud reviews. The Tempur-Pedic Cloud is a best-seller that reduces pressure points and responds to body temperature and weight fantastically. The basic Cloud model retails for around $1000, not cheap, but if it offers you a life without chronic pain, then it's money well spent.

On taking delivery of the mattress ,we were pretty surprised at how much the thing weighed. It was lucky the delivery guys took it upstairs for us, I couldn't have managed it on my own, and my wife was still in a lot of discomfort so would have been of little help. We were really delighted with the look and the feel of it, and how it promised to offer relief from backache as well as restful sleep.

On the first night, the lack of springiness felt somewhat odd, but the mattress works by responding to weight and heat, and molding itself cleverly around your contours to provide the ultimate support. So how did we get along long term with this mattress?

Well, it's FAB. My wife tosses and turns a fair bit during the night, but each of us can sleep independently on this mattress. Her back ache is gone, although it took a month or so to really start improving. We both say how refreshed we feel after a night of good sleep, something we could never say before. Always check the memory foam mattress ratings before you buy, especially if you are a heavy person.

We firmly believe that a Tempur-Pedic memory foam bed genuinely is the best you can buy, and we'd certainly recommend it to others.
